Develop Your Emotional Resilience: Learn How Tomorrow

Bainbridge Island, Washington, is known nationally for its successful emergency preparedness strategies. Bainbridge Prepares, a nonprofit that brings together individuals, organizations, and local government in preparedness efforts, is offering a Virtual Day of Preparedness tomorrow, Saturday September 26, featuring a keynote speech on emotional resilience.

Dr. Avanti Bergquist

Keynote speaker Dr. Avanti Bergquist, MD, MS, FAPA, DFAACAP, will address the topic via Zoom. She a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry board certified physician as well as a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) and a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (APA). Bergquist is a member of the Washington State Psychiatric Association (WSPA).

Two other keynote speakers, Dr. Stephen Angster (a Research Assistant at University of Nevada, Reno, and a former geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey) and Dr. Jessie Pearl (a Mendenhall Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the U.S. Geological Survey in Seattle), will deliver a keynote on the history of earthquakes on Bainbridge Island.
